How to install and set up Fathom.video

Let’s see how to set up Fathom.video. It is available in two different versions – Free edition, and Team edition. The first one is completely free and is available for individuals. I will show you how to setup Fathom.video free edition.

Visit the official website of Fathom.video and click on the Get Started button. Now, select the option to sign in. You can select either your Google account or Microsoft account. After that, you will be redirected to the Downloads page. Download the installer file and run it to install the app on your system.

After completing the installation, you will see a popup asking you to sign into the Fathom.video. Click on that link and you will be redirected to the sign-in page in your default web browser. Sign in using the same Google or Microsoft account. The next screen will ask you to set up the default settings for Fathom.video, like Auto-record all meetings or select the option manually, etc. You can also select your profession.

Fathom.video will notify you of upcoming Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams meetings. Click on the Join Meeting button to use Fathom on call. If you have enabled the Auto Record option in Fathom.video, it will automatically start recording your meeting, otherwise, you have to click on the Start Recording button. After the meeting ends, Fathom emails you the summary and action items of the meeting. You can view any part of that meeting by clicking on the respective content in your email.

To generate a summary of the meeting, select the Summary tab and then select the required tone. After generating a summary, you can copy it with a single click.

CRM Integration

Fathom offers CRM integration that allows you to connect it to your CRM, such as Salesforce and Hubspot. Now, scroll down to the INTEGRATIONS section and click Connect.
